Losing Payet ended Bilic as losing Arnie ended Pellegrini
Can see Moyes kicking off with the Snowman, there will only be one winner.

Some people are massively overrating Arnautovic. The cunt disappeared for plenty of games. When he was on it and up for it he was very good. But those games were few and far between.

It’s true losing Arnie is a huge blow. He could spin a man, play forward or alone, quick and strong. Sorely missed.

Re: Losing Payet ended Bilic as losing Arnie ended Pellegrini
i think the point is colly, those games where arnie couldn't be bothered under moyes were generally the games we lost. hence the 29% win rate.

the fact our two of our three most emphatic wins were against mark hughes sides tells the tale of the tape.

for the record i was happy to see arnie gone given that he was a weapons grade tit.

arnie didn't want to play for us, he'd downed tools months before leaving

He did pick them up again just before he left, just so he didn't leave them behind.

This is a very simplistic argument. There may be a bit of truth in it but there were many other factors.

And why should Moyes have an issue with Antonio? He puts more of a shift in than most.

Not replacing them adequately probably played a bigger part in ending their reign

Think Haller has as many goals at the halfway stage as Arnie did last season?

It’ll be more than one player that ends moyes it will be the team!

Re: Losing Payet ended Bilic as losing Arnie ended Pellegrini
I'm no fan of Moyes, and think it is a terrible appointment for the club generally. But I think he's the sort of manager who will appreciate Antonio and get a lot from him.

We shouldn't kid ourselves: he will improve some players (those who thrive on a higher tempo, steely and more traditionally "British" game). But he's generally uninspiring and negative with his tactics. I can see some players hating him - but I don't think Antonio will be one of them.

Haller did everything Arnautovic could and then lost form with the rest of the team.

Whether that can be turned around, I don't know.

Wrong, losing Fabianski to injury and thinking Roberto was Premier League standard ended Pellegrini

I expect Anderson to be the main casualty of Moyes' reign, along with Wilshere and Yarmalenko.

Losing games ended Pellegrini.

He was given the opportunity to replace Arnautovic in a way that Bilic was never able to with Payet.

Re: Losing Payet ended Bilic as losing Arnie ended Pellegrini
Having a massive clear out and not effectively replacing squad players was probably the main issue. As evidenced by Roberto and Ajeti.

This, coupled with tactical ineptitude.

Mex...
Agree... Fabianski & Roberto caused his sacking...
But he really wasn’t competent any more...

Both shit managers totally reliant on the individual brilliance of 1 player

Losing Hugill could end Moyes.

Re: Losing Payet ended Bilic as losing Arnie ended Pellegrini
Losing Arnie didnt end Pellegrini.

Arnie was largely injured and when not injured ineffective under Pellegrini.

I actually think what ended Pellegrini was starting this season well and then losing Fabianski when he did. Meant we werent galvanised for a battling campaign, and ended up throwing goals in with a clown between the sticks.

Arguably the other thing that did for him was signing Fornals over Lobotka
